Gemma #1037
GEMMA #1037 is a unique giclée print derived from Tristan Eaton’s 2022 generative NFT collection GEMMA (Generative Electronic Museum of Metaverse Art) — a 5,000-piece project of one-of-a-kind digital collages in Eaton’s signature mash-up portraiture style. The print exists because the original NFT holder participated in one of Eaton’s four “Bonfire” events, burning the underlying token in exchange for a hand-signed 24 × 24-inch physical edition on Moab Entrada 290gsm Cotton Rag paper. The artwork itself sets a pale-yellow ground against a profile portrait whose hair dissolves into a torrent of red brushwork, a chrome skull surfacing where the face should be, with the script “Junkie” rolling across the composition in red and white — a pointed memento mori in Eaton’s pop-graphic vocabulary.
